Welcoming Winters – 5 tips to care for your skin
Winters are here and so is the time of dull, dry and pale skin – all thanks to this cold weather.
So, here are 5 tips for how to take care of our skin during winter.
1) Moisturize throughout the day. Use a moisturizing facial mask. Try using body lotion even before you’ve left the shower, right after rinsing soap or body wash. It will help lock in some extra moisture.
2) Hot water showers feel great in winter, but they wreak havoc on dry skin. Try a lukewarm shower instead, and then pat your skin dry with a towel.
3) Your hands, feet, knees and elbows need to be looked after too, during winter. Use products containing shea butter, petrolatum, mineral oil, tea tree oil or glycerin.
4) During winters, we tend to avoid drinking more water as we feel less dehydrated; however, we lose water from our body in so many ways without realizing. Therefore, it is imperative to load up on water even during cold winter days. Refill your system with water and get a glowing skin without having to worry about dullness anymore.
5) Oil Therapy- Pamper you skin with a little coconut oil before a bath to heal dryness and chaps. Use a creamy soap that renders that extra suppleness to your skin.
