Topic – What makes me a proud Indian

India is a country that has many states and cultures but still, the people of India stay together and that’s why it’s also called ‘Unity in Diversity. So, I am proud to be an Indian.

There are many things that make me proud about India. To mention a few:

  • There are many great personalities from India who made us proud about our country like Arya Bhata – he was the one who invented zero, APJ Abdul kalam – he was the one who is called the ‘Missile man of India’, Mohan Das Karamchand Gandhi – he was a freedom fighter who believed in non-violence and he was also called ‘Father of the Nation’.
  • Most of the spices of the world are produced by India such as Black pepper, Coriander, Cardamom, Cinnamon, Cloves, etc.
  • CEOs of the world’s top Multi-National Companies are of Indian origins such as Satya Nadela – CEO of Microsoft, Sundar Pichai – CEO of Google, Parag Agrawal – CEO of Twitter and Arvind Krishna – CEO of IBM
  • India has given the gift of Yoga and Ayurveda to the world.
  • Indian women have proved to the world that they are the perfect combination of beauty and the brain by winning prestigious titles like Miss World and Miss Universe.
  • Many sports players inspire me the most. Some of them are Kapil Dev, Sunil Chhetri, Milkha Singh, Virat Kohli, Dhyan Chand, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Sachin Tendulkar, Mary Kom, Saina Nehwal, Sania Mirza, Lovlina Borgo hen and Niraj Chopra.
  • India has the longest written constitution in the world.
  • India has many breakthroughs in the field of Science and Technology. Our Mangalyaan has been orbiting Mars since 2014. Our Chandrayaan-1 has found water on the moon.
  • Talking about the latest situation where the entire world has been trapped by the Covid-19, India being a very populated country is fighting the pandemic effectively.
  • These are only a few points that I have listed. The list is never-ending. So, these points make me a proud Indian.
